After many years working in the fashion industry, Laurel transitioned her focus to a botanical medium. Elementally, working with flowers felt familiar to her; color, texture and layering flowers came naturally. She is currently breaking the mold of the traditional floral designer by creating sculptural, colorful and unexpected arrangements. She is known for her use of unusual flowers, fruits, and dried material. Manipulating flowers through drying, painting, collaging and sculpting, she’s created memorable arrangements on both a large and small scale. Laurel currently partners with clients on botanical elements, set design, props, and art direction.
She is also mama to Tallulah Dahl.
Her porcelain floral vessels are made using vintage Syracuse China, a tabletop company that once operated out of Syracuse, NY. Each piece is adorned with hand pressed, dried flowers coated with artist resin. The result is a one of a kind piece.
